On August 11th, BRICH and the Irish Investment and Development Agency co-hosted an offline rural salon titled 'Exploring the Ireland You Don't Know' at the Irish Embassy in China.

The event invited Mr. Gareth Haggard, Economic Counselor of the Irish Embassy, and Mr. Jeff Zeng, North China Representative of the Irish Investment Development Agency, to introduce Ireland's basic national conditions and economic development to the guests. It provided attendees with an opportunity to learn about Ireland up close, creating a favorable atmosphere for further promoting Sino-Irish economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.

In his opening remarks, Haggard emphasized the Irish government's encouragement and welcome of Chinese investment. He said, 'We are delighted to share the beauty and uniqueness of Ireland with friends from China. Ireland is a fascinating country full of opportunities. We hope that through this rural salon, we can deepen friendships and explore more possibilities for cooperation.'

Mr. Jeff Zeng from the Irish Investment and Development Agency focused on introducing Ireland's basic environment, economic development, investment policies, and pillar industries to the guests. During the interactive discussion session, Mr. Zeng actively exchanged ideas with the guests, exploring the potential and future opportunities for Sino-Irish cooperation. The guests expressed their anticipation for more such exchange activities to continuously deepen their understanding of Ireland and build more bridges for cooperation between the two countries.
